Getting published in the Human Sciences - a discussion event with editors

Have you been wondering where and how to get your article published? Is there something you would like to ask from editorial boards of academic journals?

Now you have an excellent opportunity to get answers to your questions, as the Human Sciences Doctoral Programme arranges a discussion event with high-level journal editors on Friday 15th December 2017. The event is aimed at doctoral researchers, their supervisors, as well as other researchers interested in academic publishing within the Human Sciences.

Discussion topics will include:

  • selecting a suitable journal
  • polishing your manuscript for submission
  • evaluations and feedback - how to work with them?
  • publishing multidisciplinary research
  • special issues in journals
  • becoming a member of an editorial board

You are welcome to send us questions you would like to ask from the panellists. After the panel discussion, we will continue in small groups led by the editors. When registering, please select the group that you would like to join.

You are welcome to join in the discussions and info sessions! (The main language of the event will be English.)

Topics e.g. How to evaluate and choose the publication channel? Significance of the publication channel for the researcher, the research group and the University of Oulu.
