The building site of the new hospital and road maintenance work affect the traffic in the Kontinkangas campus and Oulu University Hospital area. Please follow the signs and be careful!
Juvenes will introduce self-service checkouts at its Oulu campus restaurants to make service smoother and shorten queues during peak hours. Initially, self-checkout will be launched at two pilot sites, Restaurant Napa and Restaurant Foobar. The required changes to the lunch lines have already been completed, and the actual self-checkout pilot will start on 12 August 2019.
Kela has reviewed the student loans for students who continue their studies for the academic year 2019–2020. Decisions on student loan guarantee for the next academic year has been sent to 115 925 students. The first loan disbursement can be taken out starting from the beginning of August.
The Finnish University Partnership for International Development – UniPID and the Finnish Society for Development Research (FSDR) jointly seek exceptional Master’s level theses from UniPID universities (including the University of Oulu) to be awarded.
The university’s user accounts created 1st August 2019 or later have user rights to Office 365 Education service automatically without an activation procedure.

A new Tellus will be opened in Kontinkangas this fall. Tellus is a space, in which it’s easy to organize events, study, meet people and work together.

Problems in OILI registration service have been fixed. Registration in OILI is now in use. Registrations that have been made before closing the service are valid.

Due to cancellations, we have two spots available in the north2north programme and we are organizing an additional call for application for exchanges for the Spring term 2020. The two available destinations are Lakehead University and the University of Saskatchewan. The deadline for applications is Wed, May 8 at 23:59.
Students should apply through SoleMOVE and attach the following documents on their application: motivation letter in English, transcript of records from the Faculty Study Affairs office showing the average grade of studies, study plan and Upper Secondary School certificate including the student’s grade in the English language.
