New GenZ tenure track professors appointed

The University of Oulu’s research council has appointed in January 2020 four new tenure track professors to the GenZ project's tenure positions:

Dr.Tech, docent Simo Hosio, Faculty of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering, Center for Ubiquitous Computing, as Associate professor in Human-technology development in intelligent socio-technical futures

PhD, professor (fixed term) Marianne Kinnula, Faculty of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering, INTERACT research group, as Associate professor in Human-centred design and digitalisation

PhD, postdoctoral researcher Jonna Malmberg, Faculty of Education, LET research unit, as Assistant professor in Co-evolution of human capabilities and emerging technologies

D.Sc., university researcher Jaakko Simonen, University of Oulu Business School, Department of Economics, Accounting and Finance, as Associate professor in Resilience in intelligent technology -based ecosystems

A total of 145 applications were received all over the world to the tenure track positions. Appointed tenure track professors will be expected to start their positions as soon as possible. The aim of the tenure recruitments is to strengthen human sciences research at the University of Oulu on multidisciplinary GenZ themes.
