Phishing messages, scam calls and malicious programs on the pretext of the corona

The scammers are now utilizing the exceptional situation caused by corona, in many ways. The themes of phishing are, among others, protecting from the corona virus and remote working connection. The phishing attempts to get user names and passwords will come both by e-mail and by telephone.

One example: The phone number looks like a domestic number but however, it has been falsified. The caller is claiming to represent IT support person who is solving the remote connection problem and therefore needs your username and password.

ICT Services of the university or no other responsible quarter never requires your password or your bank codes either!

Links of malicious programs are spreading in e-mail messages, in attachments and on the websites but now in the social media and in the text messages too. The healthy common sense and carefulness are worth using!
