Quality of Experience Research Network (QERN) is a collaborative effort that has a clear common aim that focuses on improving and developing the abilities for providing Quality of Experience in the future complex networks.
The objective of Quality of Experience Research Network is to guarantee the positive Quality of Experience (QoE) in future complex networks by means of testing.
To achieve the positive customer QoE, testing solutions need to cover the entire service value chain from content providers to end users with great QoS. Figure illustrates the NTCForum vision regarding the elements, which form the concept of Quality of Experience.
Actions taken in QERN will address both technical issues and user needs. QERN is executed between January 2006 and May 2008, and its budget is 814 996 €.
