ReICOvAir Workshop on Test Bed (in conjunction with EURASIM Conference)
Gathering for dependable wireless communications for Industrial Internet
The ReICOvAir workshop organized in Oulu, Finland, on September 12th at 9:30-15:30 , invites experts from the telecommunications industry and research organizations to tackle the subject of dependable wireless communications. The event is an open platform for everyone interested in industrial internet to express their views, expectations and requirements for the communications test bed development.
For industry, emerging internet of things means exploiting wireless communications instead of traditional wired connections for controlling and monitoring.
Confidence and reliability of the wireless connections is required, and standardized rating methods are necessary in order to proof the suitability of a wireless communications system for a given application.
Project ReICOvAir aims at overcoming the uncertainty barrier on using wireless communications for the production process.
In the ReICOvAir project, partners from European research organizations and companies have joint forces to develop, standardize and integrate necessary standards, methods and tools for a single comprehensive software and hardware testbed solution.
The workshop will be held at the University of Oulu Linnanmaa campus, and is free of charge. Online registration in advance is desired. LINK TO WORKSHOP REGISTRATION
In the workshop, there are three presentations containing case examples, and a three-hour workshop lead by project partners, who will share their experiences on test bed work so far. The workshop participants will have the opportunity to give feedback and exchange ideas for further test bed development.
ReICOvAir Workshop participants are welcome to the EUROSIM 2016 Get-together Event on 12 September at 19 in Oulu City Theatre. Ticket for the event costs € 30 per person. Registration and payment at https://www.lyyti.fi/reg_2016/Eurosim2016GetTogether
