The project: Testikatti – Improved wellbeing, testing and physical services by analytics
Organizer: University of Oulu, Kajaani University Consortium, CEMIS-Oulu
The aim: To found the service concept which offers laboratorial analytics for physical and wellbeing services. Thanks to the concept, customers get flexible, rapid and easy analytics services. Local people and tourists can equally use services which are very beneficial for vocational rehabilitation groups, coaching groups and international quests.
635 938 tourists visited Vuokatti in 2012. Vuokatti grows and its investments are 200 million euros in recent years. The aim of Vuokatti is to double the amount of tourists. Service mapping in Vuokatti area proves that tourists demand more and more sophisticated activities and services. The needs of services are more special, the quality of service more important and people demand tailored products.
The project improves the competitiveness of Vuokatti on sport and wellbeing tourism and creates new networks between companies, research institutions and other organizations. Analytics service continues as a profitable action in CEMIS-Oulu after the project. The project budget is 198 990 euros from which 85 percent is ESR funding.
