INFACT Operation Team Meeting will take place in Oulu, Finland, at University of Oulu and is hosted by Oulu Mining School from Wed 4th to Friday 6th. INFACT (The Innovative, Non-invasive and Fully Acceptable Exploration Technologies) is a EU Horizon 2020 funded project that aims to develop and test new innovative, non-invasive exploration technologies that are more acceptable to the society. During the projects lifetime, three reference sites are to be establish, each representing different exploration targets, climate conditions and social environments, to test the exploration technologies and forming the policies in mineral exploration. The sites are located in Finland, Germany and Spain. Oulu Mining School takes part in processing and modelling of data of the innovative technologies and contributes by own expertise in geology, geophysics and understanding of specific Arctic environment.
The project coordinated by The Helmholtz Institute Freiberg for Resource Technology at Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf, Germany (HZDR HIF). Along Oulu Mining School, Finnish Environment Institute (SYKE) and University of Eastern Finland are part of the project in Finland.
