Pegasus Library and Medical Library are open 1 June – 26 June Mon–Fri from 10am to 3pm, Sat–Sun closed. The libraries are closed on Midsummer's Eve (Fri 19 June) and between 27 June – 2 August due to the implementation of a new library system. The opening hours in August will be announced later.
Visit the library only if you're healthy! Please keep a safety distance (at least 2 m) to other customers and staff and take care of regular and careful hand hygiene. Use the self-service machines to borrow and return items, if possible. Follow the instructions on the library premises.
Lending services resume in our libraries on 1 June. Other library services will continue remotely until further notice. If the corona situation changes, changes in opening hours and services may occur on a rapid schedule. Follow our website: www.oulu.fi/library.
Important information for Pegasus Library customers:
The Linnanmaa campus doors remain closed and the main outside entrance of the Pegasus Library is closed. The university students and staff can enter the campus with a personal access card through the main door (2T) and the glass gateway south side door (A3). Students without a 24/7 access card can use the entrance to Terveystalo and Oamk on the left side of the Pegasus Library entrance. You can visit the library to pick up and return material. Studying areas remain closed and staying in the library for longer periods is forbidden.
Due to the refurbishment of the air-conditioning system only the lending collections on the ground floor and first floor are open. The top floor of the library is closed. The closed stacks of the library are also out of use, meaning that for example legal deposit material is unavailable for use. It is advisable to check the availability of specific items in the National Repository Library; you can order material from there through Oula-Finna. The storage area for reading room loans on the first floor is out of use.
