The negotiations between the FinELib consortium and Taylor & Francis have ended unsuccessfully, meaning that the contract providing access Taylor & Francis journals has been terminated.
FinELib set out to provide researchers with access to Taylor & Francis journals and give them the possibility to publish their articles open access in the journals. However, the publisher and the consortium had highly differing views of reasonable costs. FinELib is ready to continue the negotiations, provided that the publisher sets more reasonable demands.
The terminated contract included a provision for long-term use, which means that the university will continue to have access to the publisher’s core journals published during the term of the contract 2014-2018, and for some journals even for a longer period. It is also still possible to perform information searches in the publisher’s database.
You can find articles that are behind a paywall through alternative channels, for example as self-archived versions in institutional repositories and through the library’s interlibrary service. The library staff will help you find publications, and different ways to search for articles can also be found on FinELib’s Alternative Access site.
