Research Unit of Biomedicine
The Research Unit of Biomedicine carries out high-quality biomedical and translational research in selected focus areas. The majority of the unit’s research focus on the molecular mechanisms and potential therapies of metabolic and cardiovascular diseases using methods of physiology, pharmacology and immunology. We also conduct research on drug safety and toxicology and the physiological effects of cold and hot.
The Biomedical Research Unit is responsible for the teaching of pharmacology and toxicology, physiology and medical microbiology and immunology at the Faculty of Medicine. More detailed information on the teaching can be found on the Faculty of Medical Sciences web pages.
