Service Modularity

The following research gaps related to service modularity can be identified:

  • how to manage the complexity within the service company and the whole value network,
     
  • the role of modularity enhancing the service provider to proactively develop and manage scalable value propositions, and
     
  • how the ‘upstream’ service providers can capture their part of the total economic value to the customer.
