The springsun is peeping already on the northernmost areas in Nord-Norway, too!

Flooded aapamoore, the snows are melting... Already now is space and food to water birds and waders,
who are coming to north! An other picture from same place in period of darkness (kaamos)!

 

 

 

 

Rather warm air is resurfacing from inside of nest, as well the warm is reflecting from the dark surface of nest - snow is
melting around the nest. NB, that nests here in northern mountains are built by ants from the sprout (short shoots)
of mountain birches (Betula pubescens ssp. verrucosa) - neither from the needles of pine (like in the southern areas,
in the boreal coniferous forests.
