Mountain birch (Betula pubescens subsp. czerepanovii, = B. tortuosa) forest received - finally - a lot of snow at the end of February.
Tinka- dog (gordonsetter) almost sinks into soft snow, but still she is desperate to see even one willow ptarmigan (Lagopus lagopus)...


 

 

 

 

They are here once again! Only very few of swans have overwintered here on the unfrozen, nutritious places...
