Internships in Finland
University of Oulu offers grants for its degree students to finance their internships in different organizations, mainly in Finland.
Grants for Internships in Finland in 2019
- The grant for internships in Finland is 1600 euros per student.
- Duration of the internship must be at least 2 months (full-time).
- Grants can only be applied for internships in SMEs, public sector or third sector organizations.
- The internship must be paid (=employer pays salary). Grants cannot be applied for unpaid internships.
The application period will be ongoing until all grants have been used: students that meet the requirements (e.g. credits completed towards degree, average grade in major studies) can apply for the grants as soon as they find a suitable internship position.
Applications will not be processed during staff holidays (for example during July). Grant must be applied for and the grant application in SoleMove must be approved before the internship begins - applications cannot be accepted afterwards.

New Portal for Internships Abroad
Oulu Business School has started collaboration with EFMD Global Career Services Network to offer students an exclusive platform for searching global internship opportunities. You can login (only with UniOulu student email userid) to EFMD Global Network platform to find internships,trainee positions, and graduate positions from companies around the world.
You can also complete an online assessment focused on work-related behavior, numerical reasoning, verbal reasoning, and motivation. The online assessment is only for your personal assessment.

AIESEC also brings students the opportunity to do an internship at a promising start up company abroad – get first hand knowledge on how to start/run a start up.
