National cooperation

Long-term national collaboration exists with

  • Finnish universities (e.g. ÅA, Aalto, LUT, UEF, TUT, Vaasa, UHelsinki) – Sustainable production and environmental applications, Membranes/separation processes, Biobutanol, Biohydrogen, Biogas and Biochemicals production and down-stream processing
  • Universities of Applied Sciences (OAMK, TuAMK) – Environmental applications, Role of biofuels in emission abatement
  • Research centers (e.g. VTT, GTK, MTT) – Sustainability assessment, Biomass based production, Separation processes, Modelling
  • Industry – food, chemical, pulp and paper, metallurgical, mining, SME (environmental technologies)

Strategic Centers for Science, Technology and Innovation (CSTIs: FIBIC Ltd, CLEEN Ltd, FIMECC Ltd), and the ProChemE RC takes part in six research programmes there

Several joint research projects funded by the Academy of Finland (AF) and the Finnish Funding Agency for Innovation (Tekes) provide new scientific knowledge
