Well-being and personality research group is led by Professor of psychology, Mirka Hintsanen. The main focus of the group is to examine well-being and personality in educational and occupational contexts. The group conducts interdisciplinary collaboration with researchers from several fields of study, e.g. psychology, educational sciences, sociology and psychiatry. The subject areas of interest include, for instance, the following: -Role of temperament and personality in academic achievement and in social adjustment to school environment, -Role of emotions in studying and learning, -Factors related to study progress, study success and student well-being, -Role of personality in stress and well-being at work, -Developmental factors predicting well-being.
