Our research group works together with other national and international research groups and enterprises. The current cooperation activities include work with
- Luleå Technical University (Prof. Jonas Hedlund) and Fraunhofer IKTS (Dr. Hannes Richter) on zeolite membrane separation development and modelling.
- Aalto University (Prof. Ville Alopaeus) on biphasic reactor modelling.
- University of Eastern Finland, School of Forest Sciences (Prof. Ari Pappinen) on integrated biorefinery concepts.
- Technical University of Graz, Institute of Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering on industrial biotechnology (Prof. Bernd Nidetzky).
We are a member of the Bioeconomy research community. Bioeconomy research community Oulu (BRC Oulu) is a joint venture of active research groups in University of Oulu working within the domain of biomass conversion and valorization value-chain.
The cooperation within the community forms a fruitful multidisciplinary basis to build our research work on. Thus, collaboration with us will give you not just the the tools of chemical engineering but a variety of ways to build the new Bioeconomy.
