On behalf of the organising committee I have the pleasure to welcome you to our 2nd symposium on biodegradable materials in craniofacial surgery arranged during our EU-project. The symposium takes place in Saariselkä, Finland, which is a village situated in the northern part of Finland (Lapland) to make you enjoy, besides the scientific meeting, the beautiful nature and opportunities to practice winter sports. The gathering will also provide opportunities for exchange of ideas and opinions and will probably see emergence of new ideas and innovations.
