Studies at University of Oulu 2016-2017

The University of Oulu offers study opportunities with a solid academic foundation ranging from 5-6 year degree programmes and master’s programmes to doctoral training. There are also several possibilities such as open university studies, executive training and continuing education for developing and maintaining skills and competencies.

In addition to a variety of student exchange programmes, international master’s degree programmes in English are offered in six fields of study, making the university an international study environment.

Master's Programme in Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical engineering is involved in almost all technology. It is technical computing and design of equipment, control automation, materials engineering and production technology. Mechanical engineering is utilized in the process machines and environmental technology, the mechanics and production of electronics, and in the products and production technology of the construction industry. The structures of large ships and paper machines, the parts of space satellites, and the smallest products of nanotechnology are all part of this technology.

Graduates of this programme are employed in such areas of industry, which play central role in creating us jobs and increasing our export.
