Covid-19 pandemic ideaspree deadline postponed until 3.5.

Do you have an idea how to mitigate or prevent the negative impacts of Covid-19 pandemic?

Share your idea with us. The idea can be a novel way of preventing the virus from spreading or it can be about supporting wellness and learning of individuals, societies and businesses during social distancing. 

Ideas can be based on the four themes presented below, but it is also possible to combine the themes. The idea should have impact right now or in the near future. 

Theme 1: Medicine: Methods of treatment, prevention and virology.

Theme 2: Societal influence: Social solutions (economy, education, information).

Theme 3: Technological solutions: Applications and technological innovations.

Theme 4: Free theme: Combinations of previous themes or other solutions.

In your proposal, briefly explain in a few sentences and as simply as possible, what your idea is, what it is based on, and what kind of practical action your proposal requires. Please submit your ideas here: innovationcentre@oulu.fi.

There will be three sessions in which these ideas will be discussed together in Virtual Tellus. These times are

4th of May from 11:30 to 13:00

6th of May From 10 to 11:30

8th of May from 11:30 to 13:00

The proposals will be published on the University's Yammer platform, where they can all be peer-reviewed. Based on this feedback, the most effective proposals will be developed forward together in open virtual meetings at https://www.oulu.fi/virtualtellus/ The ideas must be submitted latest on the 3rd of May.

The University of Oulu will assist in the expert evaluation of proposals, pass on ideas to target groups and, if necessary, be involved in developing the ideas further.
