Tellus volunteering course will be organized again this summer. This time it will be an online course due to the current circumstances. On this course, you can volunteer anywhere and get to know what volunteering is all about in more detail. After submitting a reflective essay, students will get 5 credits.
The course can, of course, be completed by volunteering at a place chosen by the student. If there are no places to volunteer at, students can produce a short tutorial video and share their knowledge and know-how. These ways of volunteering must be discussed with Sara Jokiniemi beforehand (firstname.lastname@example.org).
– This is a very useful course in a sense, that students will learn a lot of practical skills. This course offers a safe environment to practise for example video CV, which is a quite usual requirement nowadays. Sharing knowledge via tutorial videos is also a good practise and works perfectly as a part of one’s portfolio. For example, a student majoring in marketing can make a short video on how to plan an effective marketing strategy, Sara Jokiniemi comments.
The registration ends on the 15th of June. Read more and apply here: bit.ly/TellusVolunteering.
