1) choose either linux g++ (linux.zip) or Windows VC++ (VS.zip) version
2) unzip the files so that the directory structure is preserved
3) to build the program/library read the instructions in the unzipped file instr.txt
4) try to run the program
4) read the comments in the source files in the xmple directory
5) come to see Pekka to pick up your project
