New Integrated European Polar Research Programme now available online

The EU-PolarNet project (funded by H2020) came to its end in June 2020.  As a final product of the project the consortium is proud to introduce the first fully co-designed Integrated European Polar Research Programme. In addition, EU-PolarNet has published two white papers: White Paper on European Polar Infrastructure Access and Interoperability and White Paper on Status of Stakeholder Engagement in Polar Research. These white papers are also guiding the activities in EU-PolarNet 2 for next four years. The virtual kick-off was on October 26th

Integrated European Polar Research Programme

The Integrated European Polar Research Programme is the outcome of a five-year process of co-designing and developing a future research agenda for Europe. It represents a bottom-up community effort, building on the challenges and needs raised by those who are affected by the ongoing changes in the Polar Regions. The reseach programme has been designed using a transdisciplinary approach and it aims to bridge the knowledge gaps in and between natural and social sciences, the economy and society in the Polar Regions.

The Integrated European Polar Research Programme was launched in June 2020 in an online webinar where all identified six research needs were presented by the chapter lead authors. The recording of this webinar "Stronger together: European cooperation for Polar science and society” can be found here.
