Co-operation strengthens between the University of Oulu and the University of the Arctic

The University of the Arctic (UArctic) and the University of Oulu have agreed of new cooperation. The University of Oulu will host the newly established position of the UArctic Vice-Preseident Research.

The two-year agreement was signed in Oulu on 19.08.2014 between Lars Kullerud, UArctic President, and Lauri Lajunen, Rector of the University of Oulu.

UArctic’s Board of Governors have appointed Kari Laine, Director of the Thule Institute  as UArctic Vice-President of Research. Laine will continue also in his job as the director of the Thule Institute. Read more at the UArctic news..
