City of Oulu
Oulu is located on the coast of the Gulf of Bothnia, in the Northern Ostrobothnia region, 160 kilometres south of the Arctic Circle and Lapland. The city was founded in 1605 by King Charles IX of Sweden and is now a well-known university and high-tech city with approximately 140 000 inhabitants. The city is well served by air connections from Helsinki (55 minutes). In Oulu average daytime temperature in june is + 12,2 ºC.
