Doctoral Seminar on Sustainability Management and Engineering, 5 cr, University of Oulu
Target group: All doctoral students that are interested in sustainability management and engineering themes
Four seminar sessions:
- An introduction seminar, 7th of September (1-3 pm, Frost Club Tellus ), 2017 (Asst. prof Kirsi Aaltonen and Post-doctoral Researcher Arto Reiman): Introduction to sustainability thinking in the field of industrial engineering and management, Key concepts and theoretical perspectives
- A two-day seminar, 27-28th of September, 2017 (9 am-4 pm, Frost Club Tellus 27th and Tuta-Studiem TF-429 and Safety Park on the 28th) (Dr. Klaus Fischer and Post-doctoral Researcher Arto Reiman.): Human factors and sustainability; Stakeholder thinking and corporate social responsibility; Sustainability management of globalized supply chains
- A one-day seminar 12th of October, 2017 (9 am-4 pm, Tuta-Studiem TF-429) (Prof. Soili Nystén-Haarala): Law and self-regulation in corporate social responsibility and sustainability management, different sustainability standards and regulations; Natural resource governance in the Arctic
- Closing one-day seminar, 22nd of November (9 am-3 pm, Tuta-Studiem TF-429) (Asst. prof Kirsi Aaltonen and Post-doctoral Researcher Arto Reiman): Sustainability management in complex projects and complex products systems; Presentations of the participants, Reflections and discussions; Two industry presentations with practical examples.
