Call for applications for doctoral student representatives in UniOGS committees

Are you interested in acting as the voice of doctoral students in the decision-making of UniOGS? We are now looking for new doctoral student representatives for UniOGS committees starting from January 1st, 2014.

The following positions are available:

UniOGS management group: 1 representative, 1 deputy representative

Doctoral training committee for Human Sciences: 2 representatives, 2 deputy representatives

Doctoral training committee for Technology and Natural Sciences: 2 representatives, 2 deputy representatives

Doctoral training committee for Health and Biosciences: 2 representatives

The management group’s responsibilities include supervising and evaluating the work of the doctoral training committees and defining the policies followed in doctoral training.

The doctoral training committees are in charge of evaluating and processing applications to UniOGS, following the progress of doctoral training and assessing dissertations. In addition the committees discuss the organisation of doctoral training and the development and processes of UniOGS.

We expect active participation in UniOGS decision-making, interest in supervising doctoral students’ interest and collaboration with the doctoral students’ section from all those elected as student representatives. The term for the doctoral student representatives ends Dec 31st, 2015.

The applications should be sent via email to the address hakemukset@oyy.fi. Please include information on the current status of your doctoral studies and to which position you are applying. The deadline for applications is Nov 11th 10:00 am.

The decision on the nominations will be made by the doctoral students’ section in its meeting on Nov 13th 4:00 pm at the OYY office. Meetings are open to all doctoral students.
