UniOGS will start a six-month mentoring programme during the autumn semester 2014. The aim of mentoring is to help doctoral students to develop their professional skills, clarify their future worklife opportunities and help to direct their studies. An expert from worklife (mentor), and a doctoral student (actor) will have one-to-one meetings during which they discuss things related to the doctoral thesis work and future worklife.
Doctoral students who expect to complete their doctoral degree within the next two years and who are interested in career management can apply. While we will help find suitable mentor-actor pairs, applicants must be willing to commit to actively building and maintaining the mentor-actor relationship. The number of participants may be limited.
The application for the UniOGS mentoring programme is done with this webropolsurvey. The application period is 2.–16.6.2014. Selected doctoral students and their mentors will be contacted personally.
Infosession about the goals and contents of the mentoring programme is organised 11.6.2014 at 14.00 in lecture hall L9 (Linnanmaa).
