Constructed wetlands as water treatment systems

Lectures: Dr. Mark Healy (NUI), Dr. Kaisa Heikkinen (SYKE),) Dr. Anna-Kaisa Ronkanen (UOulu) and prof. Björn Klöve (UOulu)

Introduction: Constructed wetlands are widely used as a technology in water treatment to treat runoff from various sources such as mining, agriculture, forestry and to polish water from municipal sources. The short course provides an introduction to the topic and provides knowledge on some key aspects of treatment wetlands.

Course outline: lectures by experts and PhD candidates. Credits: 1 (2 for presenters or learning diary writers) ECTS*
