University of Oulu visited Helsinki and celebrated it's 60th anniversary October 3rd at Botta. Exactly 60 years earlier on that day there was a big paublic festival in Oulu, because of the very first opening ceremony of the university. The same festive atmosphere was present also at Botta. A number of university's alumni, partners and friends were gathered to celebrate the achievments of the University of Oulu.
During the evening the top research of the university was presented, when professor Mirja Ollikainen, professor Pentti Haddington, Academy Research Fellow Matti Latva-Aho and our alumn, architect Antti Nousjoki told about their work.
Among science there is room for art as well. Engaging Ylva Haru with her band brightened up the guests. Apart from the performers of the night, the happy guests created a a warm atmosphere.
Thank you all who attented the event, see you soon again!
