“University education is going through a strong transition. Our education activities must be developed to become more and more attractive and productive. It is great to get Tapio Koivu to be part of the university's management team to lead the education development program,” says the university's Rector Jouko Niinimäki.
“At the same time, I would also like to warmly thank Helka-Liisa Hentilä for her dedicated work in developing education and especially for implementing a major degree program reform during her term as Vice Rector. Helka has taken forward the student-centered perspective of education and listening to student feedback in developing the quality of education. We will continue to stick to this in the future as well,” adds Rector Jouko Niinimäki.
In accordance with the university's strategy, the key development themes for the forthcoming vice-rector's term will be to expand the educational offer, especially in continuous learning, to increase the digital learning opportunities and to develop the student experience.
