Distance learning continues, access to campuses becomes easier

The University of Oulu has previously stated that the courses for the autumn term will generally be held remotely at least until the end of the 1st period, ie until 25.10.2020. If it is not possible to organize the course remotely, it can be arranged on campus taking care of safety and distances. Exams requiring attendance on campus can be arranged with safety and distance in mind.

As of Tuesday, August 11, 2020, all exterior doors of the campuses are open during so-called office hours, weekdays from 8.00 am to 3.45 pm. At other times, access to campuses is by 24/7 pass. Learn more about acquiring access.

Every visitor is required to follow the hygiene instructions responsibly and carefully, e.g. hand washing and a safety distance of 1–2 meters to other people. If you are experiencing respiratory or cold symptoms, entry to campus is not permitted.

Dissertations can be held on the university premises, taking care of safety.

Access to the Exam rooms in both Linnanmaa and Kontinkangas has been arranged during the exam times. The student receives directions to the exam room upon the exam registration. During office hours, students can take the exam without a 24/7 pass.
