With the help of safety observations, the Occupational Safety and Health personnel is able to find safety deviations and help prevent accidents at work. Employee awareness about accident prevention, the right work habits, and the risks of working in a hurry, are essential in the prevention of accidents, as well as the participation of everyone in the promotion of occupational safety e.g. by reporting safety observations. All safety observations will be processed as soon as possible after notification in order to take the necessary measures. Safety observations will also be handled at meetings of the Occupational Safety and Health Committee, to ensure that possible similar accidents are avoided.

At its meeting in spring 2018, the Occupational Safety and Health Committee decided to launch a campaign to activate the reporting of safety observations. Reported safety observations can include, for example, deviations in the cleanliness of the property or near accident -situations that might have caused an accident. With the report form you can also submit your own proposal on developing safety at work.

Join us in making our university safer for all! Report your safety observations and get yourself a voucher for a coffee/tea + your chosen café product from pre-selected products. The campaign starts immediately and continues until the end of 2018. Changes in rewards are possible. If you work outside the Linnanmaa or Kontinkangas campuses, we will be in touch with you.

Safety Observation Reporting Form

The notification of an accident at work is done by means of a separate internal accident notification form; see a specific instruction on the reporting of accidents at work.
