The rescue plans are now in an electrical form

The staff and the students are recommended to familiarise themselves with new rescue plans.

The rescue plans of the University of Oulu have now been published in an electrical form. You can find the link to them in Notio, on the page Turvallisuus ja työsuojelu (Safety and Occupational Health). There is also a direct link to the rescue plans.

There are separate plans for the campuses of Linnanmaa and Kontinkangas, Oulu Normal School, the Kajaani University Consortium, the Oulanka research station together with the Sodankylä Geophysical Observatory and the Meteorological research center of Lapland. The plans have been mostly translated into English, Swedish and Russian.

The plans are being constantly updated. In rescue rehearsals in May and August, feedback was received on for example disabled fire alarm clocks and the changes caused by construction areas. In addition, most of the people didn´t know that a door with an electronical lock system can be released by pressing the opening button in the green box next to the door (picture).

There is a new rescue plan for Faculty of Humanities for the new premises, and it will be trained to the staff on 15.10.

The staff and the students are recommended to familiarise themselves with new rescue plans. It is important to know the closest fire exit from your own work station, the location of the fire-extinguishing equipment and one´s own meeting point.
