Students attending school outside Finland must send Kela a certificate of attendance and a certified transcript of their course credits in the previous year.
Around 3,000 students still have not sent in the required documentation. Any student that does not submit the documentation to Kela will have their financial aid payments stopped in November 2018.
When sending the documents, either scan or take a good-quality photo of them. Then, sign in to Kela’s e-service and select Viestit (Messages). You can send the documents as an attachment to the message. Select Opiskelijan tuet (Benefits for students) and then Opintotuki (Student financial aid) as the subject of your message.
