This study investigates the associations of infant motor development and psychological traits in young adulthood with physical activity and sedentary behavior in middle age in a large birth cohort.

The aim is to increase understanding of infant motor development and possible psychological features and their association with physical activity and sedentary time. The results of this study can be used when planning interventions to promote physical activity. Information about psychological traits can also guide health care professionals to identify individual barriers and enablers of PA and personalize behavior counselling.
