Biography

My doctoral research is linked to the EU H2020 project called WATERAGRI, and research is related to the sustainability assessment for local management of water and nutrients in agricultural areas.The work includes assessment of sustainable water management in agriculture and nutrient retention methods used in the EU, considering their environmental,economical and social aspects.

I have completed BE in Agriculture Engineering and MSc.in Water Resources Engineering from Tribhuvan University Nepal and MSc.in Water Management with specialization in water conflict management (Water Diplomacy) from UNESCO-IHE, Delft.

I have been working in the water sector since 2010. Initially as an Ast. lecturer for "Hydraulics" and "Irrigation & Drainage Engineering" by use of theoretical reasoning, practical works & fieldworks. Then, for the Government of Nepal under the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation (MoEWRI) previously as an Engineer and later as a Senior Divisional Engineer (Gaz.II) in various line division offices, donor funded projects,and National Pride Projects conducted by Department of Water Resources and Irrigation (DWRI).
