Biography
Dr. Thevenot currently acts as senior researcher of Biomedical Engineering at the Research Group of Medical Imaging, Physics and Technology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Oulu, Finland.
Since January 2019, Jérôme Thevenot is also the CTO of the Oulu University spinoff company Inmodi Oy (www.inmodi.com). The company develops medical devices (patented) to evaluate joint disorders.
After a focus on medical imaging of osteoporosis and osteoarthritis, he is now extending his research to the development of medical devices both for human and veterinary purposes. The primary goal in his research is to develop better tools to help in the diagnostic and monitoring of joint disorders. His veterinary interest is the detection of equine lameness.
