I am a postdoctoral researcher in literature at the University of Oulu. My dissertation examined the modern project in the works of Northern Finnish author Rosa Liksom. Currently, I am finalizing my part in a research project, “The productions of Tove Jansson,” funded by the Kone Foundation. My focus has been on late modern sensibilities in Jansson’s short stories. In January 2020, I am starting a new project concerning metamodernism and European post-war history and ideologies in Finnish contemporary literature. This project is funded by the Finnish Cultural Foundation.
