Kasimir Sandbacka

I am a postdoctoral researcher in literature at the University of Oulu. My dissertation examined the modern project in the works of Northern Finnish author Rosa Liksom. Currently, I am taking part in a research project, “The productions of Tove Jansson,” funded by the Kone Foundation. My focus is on late modern sensibilities in Jansson’s short stories. Later this year, I will start a new project concerning metamodernism and European post-war history in Finnish contemporary literature. This project is funded by the Finnish Cultural Foundation.
