Biography

Kimmo Hiltunen received his M.Sc. (Tech) degree from Helsinki University of Technology, Finland, in 1996, and his D.Sc. (Tech) degree from Aalto University, Finland, in 2014.

During 1998-2017 he worked at Ericsson Research, Wireless Access Networks, both in Finland and in Sweden. Since 2005 he hold a position as a Senior Specialist (Dense and heterogeneous network deployments).

Currently, Kimmo Hiltunen is working as a senior research fellow at University of Oulu, Centre for Wireless Communications (CWC), focusing on 5G and the performance of micro operator deployments.
