    Research visit (3 months) to the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics (DICP) Research Division of Energy Environmental Engineering (DNL09) led by Prof. Shudong Wang was done in connection to the Marie Curie International Research Staff Exchange Scheme (IRSES) and the project "Technology Development for Catalytic Oxidation of Harmful Compounds Emitted from Industry". The purpose of the visit was to deepen the collaboration with the research division and use the high-quality characterisation infrastructure at the institute for catalyst studies.

    Research visit (5 months) to the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Goiás (IFG) was related to the Marie Curie International Research Staff Exchange Scheme (IRSES) and the project SULKA - Sulphur Compounds in Mining Operations – Environmental Impact Assessment, Measurement and Emission Abatement. The work with Prof. Sérgio Botelho de Oliveira was about experiments using waste-derived and hydrothermally produced carbon in catalytic processes and to start new international co-operation.

    Research visit (7 months) to the multidisciplinary research institute of the University of Poitiers and the CNRS. The aim was to start the project "Technology Development for Catalytic Oxidation of Harmful Compounds Emitted from Industry" and continue the fruitful collaboration with Dr. Nicolas Bion and Dr. Florence Epron from the team E3 - Du site actif aux matériaux catalytiques. The main objective was to prepare and characterise Au containing catalysts together with reference materials for catalytic oxidation of VOCs.
