With a current staff of about 30, our mission is to carry out high quality research and education focusing on water and soil environmental engineering. Our mission is to produce environmental engineers and doctors who have a strong knowledge in processes, modelling and management. We carry out both basic and applied research related to surface water, groundwater, geoenvironment, water supply and wastewater treatment.
The Master degree program produces annually about 15 environmental engineers with skills in water resources, water treatment, and geotechnical engineering.
Since 2010, the laboratory is leading the new national doctoral school VALUE - Integrated Catchment and Water Resources Management.
