Ecosystem ecology


My main field of research is ecosystem ecology and I have carried out most of my work at different type of peatland ecosystems. My main emphasis has been on biogeochemistry and soil-vegetation-atmosphere interactions, namely on greenhouse gas exchange of pristine and restored peatlands. At my current project I study how functional plant traits can be used as indicators and mediators of environmental change in peatlands.
