Dr. Jenni Nikkilä, supervised by Professor Robert Winqvist in Biocenter Oulu, Institute of Diagnostics, Faculty of Medicine, and co-supervised by Adjunct Professor Helmut Pospiech, Department of Biochemistry, Faculty of Natural Sciences, was awarded The Best Doctoral Thesis Award by the University of Oulu in the opening ceremony of the University on September 9, 2013.
