DynaPro plate reader can be used for example for assessing the quality of purified protein samples; it can analyze whether the sample is monodisperse and free of aggregates. It can also be used for size determination of proteins, for screening optimal buffer/additive conditions for protein solutions, for determining critical micelle forming concentrations etc. What makes the DynaPro plate reader very user friendly, is its ability to read protein samples directly on multiwell (96-1536 well) plates without transferring the sample to a separate measurement cuvette. This minimizes the risk of contamination and makes the measurements fast. In addition of the DLS function the instrument has a camera that can take pictures of the wells for the visual inspection of possible aggregates present in the sample. Two standard screens are available. In these screens ("Salt and pH Screen") a range of buffers and two salts are tested. One deep well block of solutions concerns ammonium sulfate and the second block concerns sodium chloride solutions.
