Riikka Halmetoja

I'm a PhD student in Peppi Karppinen's lab. My focus areas are hypoxia and metabolism.

My research project focuses on the role of P4H-TM in (patho)physiology and understanding the role of HIF-P4Hs in metabolism and adipocyte differentiation.

I'm a curious person with a passion for all things related to nature, physiology and society at large. Sharing information and meeting new people makes me thrive. I strongly believe in life-long learning and enjoy committing myself to mastering new skills in both working and personal life.
