New Academy Projects and Academy Research Fellows to the University of Oulu

The Academy of Finland has made funding decisions for new Academy projects and Academy Research Fellows. On 1 September 2023, a total of 25 Academy projects, 23 Academy Research Fellows and one clinical researcher will start at the University of Oulu. Altogether, the researchers of the University of Oulu were granted over 23 million euros.

A total of 12,269,918 euros were received from the Academy's researcher application to the University of Oulu and 10,822,030 euros from the project application.

Funding was granted for research on the use of artificial intelligence in learning, research on human social activity and digitalisation, hypoxia research, research on health risks of exposure to micro- and nanoplastics during pregnancy, and research on urinary metabolomics technology in metabolic diseases.
