Collagen prolyl 4-hydroxylase

In this project we try to unravel the reaction mechanism of collagen prolyl 4-hydroxylase (C-P4H). The substrate of C-P4H is procollagen, having the (XYG) repeat. Many of the X and Y residues are prolines and many of the Y prolines are hydroxylated by C-P4H. In particular we are interested in understanding the processivity properties of C-P4H.
