Laura Nauha received her PhD degree from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Oulu in 2024, majoring in Health Technology and Physics.
Her doctoral thesis examined the association between chronotype, device-based physical activity, sedentary time, sleep regularity, and cardiometabolic health within the Northern Finland Birth Cohort 1966 (n = 5,600). Her research findings have been published in internationally recognized journals and have been widely reported in both national and international media.
Currently, she works as a postdoctoral researcher at the Research Unit of Health Sciences and Technology and also serves as the project manager for the FINNACT24 project. Laura is interested in producing health-promoting knowledge by utilizing wearable devices that can assess individuals' circadian rhythms, sleep-activity patterns, physical activity, and sedentary behavior.
